Information for I-9 Verifications Remember to verify Part 2 of your I-9 Form
As a new hire, it is important to verify Part 2 of Your Federal I-9 Form (Employment Eligibility) within 3 days of your start date. This is a federal requirement that shows your proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Your offer of employment is contingent upon you providing proof of employment eligibility in the United States and must be completed no later than three (3) days of your first day of work.
How to complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
There are three (3) steps to complete the two sections of Federal Form I-9. All three steps must be completed within 3 days of your start date. This federal requirement shows your proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 in Workday.
- Upload your acceptable I-9 documentation to Workday.
IMPORTANT: This is currently not a task in Workday but must be done to complete the process. Upload your documents in your "Documents" found at:- Your Worker Profile > View Profile > Select Personal from the left navigation > Documents tab at the top
- Meet with the Office of Human Resources to complete Section 2 (reviewing and verifying documents). Present your original, acceptable, and unexpired documentation that you uploaded to Workday to an authorized AU representative. Verify your Form I-9 by:

What You Will Need
You will need to show proof of your employment eligibility by presenting your I-9 acceptable, original, unexpired documents that you uploaded in Workday.
