The first out of four groups of faculty and staff at
American University Washington College of Law have begun moving into their new workspace at Tenley Campus.
Employees of the
War Crimes Research Office,
the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law,
the Project on Addressing Prison Rape,
the Office of Special Events and Continuing Legal Education, as well as some teams of the
Office of Technology and
Facilities Management are among the inaugural group.
Other programs, centers, and offices are expected to move to the Tenley Campus in December 2015. Here is what some faculty and administrators are saying about the big move.
"This is a historic day for all of us as we have come a long way as an institution. A lot of planning and preparation has preceded this occasion. I know that all of us will be captured by the excitement of this momentous event and will face any hurdle with flexibility, creativity and a huge smile." –
Dean Claudio Grossman.
"Moving a law library is a pretty big task, but the new spaces look amazing – many more seats, carrels, group study rooms, and collaborative learning spaces." –
Billie Jo Kaufman, Associate Dean for Library and Information Resources, Professor of Law.
